4Most Gallery update, 3/29/23: Friday’s exhibition is cancelled due to the windows at 4most being broken. We hope to get them fixed in the near future and resume operation soon.

The Blood is Still Warm is a visual exploration of the complex interplay between desirability and attachment, as interpreted through a thought-provoking selection of literary works. This collection of artwork delves into the nature of desire itself, calling into question our perceptions of beauty and the often troubling consequences of being deemed undesirable in a society suffering from the malady of beauty sickness.

Drawing inspiration from the works of literary luminaries such as Toni Morrison, Kiese Laymon, Jericho Brown, and other masters of the written word, this body of work incorporates a diverse range of media, including video, textiles, and installations, to explore these vital themes in a truly immersive and engaging way.
