    The School of Music will host the Southeastern Saxophone Summit where the region’s finest professional and collegiate saxophonists will gather for a day of performances and master classes. The event will feature guest artist Lars Mlekusch, professor of saxophone at the Vienna (Austria) Conservatory and at the Zurich (Switzerland) Conservatory. Other featured artists will include the Onyx Saxophone Quartet (Florida/Georgia), the Helton-Thomas Duo (Florida), Joren Cain (Georgia), Lori Ardovino (Alabama), Michael Shine (Florida). Also on the program will be the Collision Saxophone Quartet, and the Stretto City Saxophone Quartet, and a number of collegiate student performers. Events will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude with the Lars Mlekusch recital which will begin at 5:30 p.m.
