  • Description

The School of Theatre + Dance at the University of Florida is pleased to offer free performances of the fast-paced, workplace comedy London Wall by John Van Druten in the Squitieri Theatre at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Van Druten was a highly successful playwright who is best known for plays such as I Am A Camera, which was the basis for the widely popular musical, Cabaret

Originally produced in 1931, London Wall garnished recent critical acclaim during its revival by London’s Finborough Theater in 2013.  Tightly written and full of character detail, this play deals with themes of women’s independence and liberation that were not widely accepted when first produced. Despite decades of distance, this story of office women and their struggle to find fulfillment still resonates today.  So come out and join us for our Reader’s Theatre production of London Wall.

London Wall is directed by Dr. David Young. Ryley Valenti serves as Assistant Director.
