Biography

Alyson Maier Lokuta (Aly) is Senior Director of Arts & Wellbeing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and serves as Adjunct Lecturer and 2022 Creating Healthy Communities Convening Coordinator for the Center for Arts in Medicine.

Since entering the field of arts in health, Aly has built networks and relationships nationwide through organizations and initiatives such as the Creating Healthy Communities Arts in Public Health Initiative and the National Organization for Arts in Health. As Senior Director of Arts & Wellbeing, Aly leads innovating programming, evaluation, and research at the intersections of arts, health, and community development.

In her faculty position at the Center, Aly teaches Advanced Professional Seminar, helping to guide students' Capstone projects through the IRB process; sharpening research methodology skills with a focus on research ethics.
